Husband Shooting wife…
On Sunday (October 18th), authorities in Mesquite, Texas, uncovered the lifeless body of 28-year-old Markeita McCleary. It was bearing multiple gunshot wounds at approximately 5:34 PM local time. Mesquite is a suburban municipality proximity to Dallas.
Law enforcement officials affirmed that nearby medical facility declared McCleary as deceased.
Subsequently, authorities apprehended Markeita’s 28 years old husband, Ashton Neroes. He formally charged with the offense of murder in connection with the aforementioned shooting, as stated by the police. Presently, he is detained with a bond set at $100,000.
Important to note that Markeita purportedly discovered her husband, Ashton engaging in an extramarital affair. She confronted him with the intent of seeking a divorce. Tragically, the events transpired shortly before she was mercilessly shot ten times. It happened in front of their three children, culminating in her untimely demise.
Both Ashton and Markeita were fervently active on Facebook. The news of the murder astounded acquaintances. They regarded the couple as a flawless, idyllic family through the lens of social media.
Ashton often shared cherish family photographs. He frequently disseminated uplifting messages and passages from Christian scriptures on his Facebook profile.
In one particular post, just hours preceding the shooting, Ashton expressed the following on Facebook.
“THE CHALLENGE THAT BEFALLS MANKIND IS THE UNIVERSAL ASPIRATION TO EMBRACE AN ANIMALISTIC NATURE. THAT OF ‘THE GOAT.’ I DO GRASP THAT THIS IS AN ACRONYM SYMBOLIZING ‘THE GREATEST OF ALL TIMES. HOWEVER, I IMPLORE YOU TO CONTEMPLATE THIS QUERY: DOES HUMANITY GENUINELY ATTAIN GREATNESS IN THE EYES OF THE DIVINE? DOES GOD FIND CONTENTMENT IN THE DISREGARD OF HIS COMMANDMENTS?”
“OPEN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, DEVOTE YOURSELF TO FOLLOWING THE TEACHINGS OF CHRIST. THE TRUE GOAT’—WHO SELFLESSLY SACRIFICED HIS OWN LIFE FOR OURS.”
Furthermore, Ashton made a post on the Facebook less than an hour before the discovery of wounded Markeita. He eerily inscribed: “Closure has eluded me, yet regardless, I shall triumphantly depart”.
