Kylee Ann Schaffer was kind, caring, thoughtful, generous and a true friend to many. She was bright, bubbly, happy go lucky and fun loving person. She was popular for all of these beautiful traits as a person. Her hugs were enough to lighten even the darkest days.
Kylee’s family quit living in limbo not knowing what happened to their beloved daughter, sister, friend. A feeling of helplessness that has never gone away since the day she disappeared.
They wait for 19 years of a phone call or the knock at the door with the news of their beloved Kylee. 19 years ago this whole nightmare began… her family still waits in dismay. She was just 19 years of age, when she disappeared.
Kylee was invited to a party on Friday, 11th September 2004. She stayed overnight at a property on Wilson Lane, Willawarren New South Wales (West of Kempsey).
Next morning (Saturday) at approximately 8 AM, Kylee had some breakfast. She then told her friends she was going for a walk through bushland near the property.
When Kylee had not returned by lunchtime, her friends became concerned and begun searching the bush-land for any signs of her.
A search of the property and surrounding area were performed by police, SES volunteers, PolAir, a sniffer dog, residents on motorcycles and in four wheel drives, but were unable to locate Kylee.
Kylee has not been seen or heard from since this date and there are serious concerns for her safety and welfare as it is totally out of character for her not to keep in contact with her family.
At the time of her disappearance, Kylee was described as standing approximately 165cm tall with dyed brown hair, brown eyes and of European appearance. She was last seen wearing a dark blue or black T-shirt and brown pants. She would now be aged 38 years old.
