Ghoomer introduces us to Anina (Saiyami Kher), a young cricketing prodigy with a bright future. The story begins with her unfortunate accident that results in the loss of her right hand. It happens just before she’s about to make her international debut. The shock and despair of the incident are palpable. But the story follows resilience and determination.

.

Abhishek Bachchan is a failed cricketer, whose dreams have been shattered. Now he lives a life of frustration. He enters Anina’s life. The connection between these two characters is nuanced, with shared dreams and passions. Through rigorous and innovative training, he helps her find a new dream. He transforms her fate, allowing her to play for the Indian cricket team again, this time as a bowler.

The central theme of Ghoomer depicts the newly invented ‘Ghoomer’ style of bowling. It becomes a symbol of innovation and creativity. This sets the stage for Anina’s triumphant return. The portrayal of this new bowling style is a highlight, capturing the essence of the game and the beauty of inventing something unique.

.

Ghoomer is a story of hope in adversity. Well crafted, and backed by great acting from the leads as well as supporting cast.

Movie contains a perfect blend of drama, passion and thrill for the match. Overall narration is good and to the point which makes it interesting to watch.

Saiyami Kher is Terrific as Anina. She did an amazing job. Shabana Azmi is very natural and spontaneous. Abhishek Bachchan is fantabulous and unstoppable.

Angad Bedi is a surprise package. Everyone in the supporting cast is excellent.

The true superstar here is R. Balki who has meticulously crafted an entertaining, well-paced film about sport, passion, the dreams we have and the ones left behind as well as the common ties that bind us together.

.

Ghoomer is not just a sports drama. It’s a tribute to human resilience, the importance of self-belief, the unconditional support of family and friends.

Just a beautiful story. Absolute Must Watch.
