Ecotourism

Tourism is a growing industry around the world. It turns out to be a significant source of income. Nowadays, ecotourism is a thriving and thriving business. However, uncontrollable tourist activities cause a slew of problems that are dangerous, harmful, and hazardous to biodiversity and the environment. Cosmopolitan development is harmful because of excessive concrete construction. Moreover, littering, bonfires, fireworks, and garbage haps add fuel to the fire.

Adopting a long-term strategy to reduce the risk of phenomenal hazards is the need of the hour. An effective policy must be implemented from the ground up. Ecotourism should be a complimentary subject in schools, colleges and universities.

Raising Awareness

A risk-reduction strategy for environmental protection is essential for everyone. Influencers can play a critical role to reduce littering and pollution. They must include articles on ecotourism in their work.

Terminology Definition

Eco is short for Ecology or Ecosystem. In Pakistan, ecotourism is a relatively new term. Only a few people are familiar with this jargon. Ecology is, in fact, a scientific investigation. It is the study of the mutual interaction of living organisms and their surroundings. Biology, geography and earth science are all part of this interdisciplinary field.

Ecotourism is a relatively modified branch of ecosystem research. It primarily deals with tourism-related fields. It has many characteristics. For example, to educate travellers, to conserve the environment, to promote economic development, and to politically empower local communities. Above all, respect for existing cultural heritage and protection of human rights. Ecotourism is a critical weapon that environmentalists can use to save mother nature.

Importance of Ecotourism

The basic idea behind this terminology of ecotourism is to preserve natural resources for future generations. Furthermore, to keep tourist attractions safe while requiring less human intervention.

Fortunately, some universities have begun degree programmes in eco-tourism.

Ecotourism is a delicate and sophisticated subject, but it is also vital and important. Tourist destinations in Pakistan are negatively impacted by locals and visitors throwing heaps of garbage and trash.
